Chapter 2 : An Unexpected Fate

Nadeshiko and Syaoron went to bus stop together. A thunder crashing a tree behind Nadeshiko. Syaoron protected her and Nadeshiko got a power from a wand. After that, a dog transformed into a boy.
“Hoe-e?!!!!” cried out Nadeshiko and Syaoron. “A cool boy, and he is kind, I think.” Thought Nadeshiko.
“You are….!” Said Kamui. “The Chosen One!”
“The Chosen One?” ask Nadeshiko.
“That means you are the chosen one to guards the earth. You are the descendant of the first Chosen One, Hayashi Hong!” said Syaoron.
“You know that? Why you don’t tell me?”
“I must know first, are you the real Chosen One. Sorry…”
“It’s okay. So… Kamui-san… Tell me the complete info about Chosen One!”
“Okay… You have an unexpected fate. You are the seventh Chosen One, after Shulin Miyazaki.”
“Shulin? That’s chinese name!” said Syaoron confused.
“Shulin married Fujiko Miyazaki. Hayashi’s mother is Chinese. So Hayashi half-chinese. The 2nd Chosen One, Mayura Hong, his daughter. The 3rd Chosen One, Leiyun Hong is Mayura’s child. The 4th Chosen One, Jingmei Hong, Leiyun’s daughter. The 5th Chosen One, Fanren Hong, Jingmei’s sister. The 6th Chosen One, Shulin Miyazaki. And the 7th Chosen One, you, Nadeshiko!”
“I don’t get it.” Said Syaoron.
“Sorry, brat.”
“You call me brat?!”
“Shulin…” said Nadeshiko.
“Eh?” Syaoron saw Nadeshiko is sad.
“Shulin Miyazaki is Nadeshiko’s mother. Shulin died because killed by the previous Dark One.” Said Kamui.
“But! Father said that mother died of disease!”
“That’s wrong. But, please keep this a secret.”
“Okay… Syaoron, can you ushered me to bus stop?” ask Nadeshiko.
“Okay.”

“So… Shulin Miyazaki is your mother?” ask Syaoron.
“Yes. I missed her very much.”
“Oh… Same like me. I don’t have a father.”

“My father died because a mysterious disease.”
“How awful… Just like me.”
TIIINNN!!! The bus came and Nadeshiko entered the bus. “Thank you, Syaoron-kun. See you tomorrow.”
“Good night.”
Nadeshiko’s face turning red. “Why I always turning red? I had a crush with Kamui-san after all.”

“Good morning, Sumire-san.” Said Nadeshiko.
“You woke up early!”
“Well, I want to go to school faster. I already took a bath. Where is the breakfast?”
“There. A toast with bacon and egg.”
“Thank you very much. Itadakimasu!” shouted Nadeshiko, eating her breakfast. After that, Nadeshiko put her rollerblades and slide very fast to school.
“So… Syaoron-kun always take a bus to school. I wonder where is his boarding house?”
Nadeshiko had a crush with Kamui, but she confused about Syaoron. Syaoron is kind, and charming (Eh? >_<)…
“Good morning!” said Nadeshiko.
“Good morning, Nadeshiko-chan!” said Kahoko.
“Kahoko, has Syaoron came to class?”
“Already. He is the first people entering the class!”
“Hoe?”
“Oh, I almost forgot! He said, ‘Please tell Nadeshiko to go to school park.’”
“Thanks!”
Nadeshiko ran off to park, she saw a boy with brown hair, in front of the great panorama. “Syaoron-kun?”
“Nadeshiko!” Syaoron give Nadeshiko a paper bag.
“Paper bag?”
“I met Kamui-san. He said, give this to Nadeshiko. Almost forgot! Wear this lockette. The lockette can transform into a wand.”
“Thank you!”
DEG! Syaoron’s hurt just ‘bump’ (Eh? >_<). “O,o,okay! Bye…!”

Nadeshiko go back to her class and found Syaoron is studying Physics.
“What are you doing?”
“Eh! Oh, Nadeshiko. I’m studying Physics – I think today will be improptu test.”
“That was joke right?”
“I don’t think so… Please, can you go away. You ‘little’ disturb me. Sorry.”
“Fine. I go.”
Nadeshiko decide to go to library. “Are Syaoron joking? But he never lying to me. I think that is true. I will study!”
Nadeshiko arrived in library and took a Physics book. She studied for 20 minutes. Then the bell rang. KRRRRRIIIIINNNNGGGG!
Nadeshiko ran off to class. “Save.” After that, Ogawa-sensei, the teacher who teach Physics came and carried question sheet. “Today, Physics improptu test! Put your books and prepare your stationery.”
“What????!!!!” cried out all people in class except Syaoron and Nadeshiko.
“Stop that ‘What’. Now, I will hand out the question sheet.”
Syaoron who already prepared, answering the sheet very quickly. Nadeshiko is slower than Syaoron, but she believe that she can got a excellent score. “Syaoron’s prediction is very accurate. Are he can predict something?” thought Nadeshiko while she answer the last question.
40 minutes elapsed…
“Gather the test now!” said Ogawa-sensei.
“Oh my gosh, the question is confusing!” said Kahoko.
“It’s easy.” Said Nadeshiko.
“You are so confident. You always confused in Physics right?”
“Yeah, but… That’s a secret.”
“You are not the best, but next I will be the best. Just kidding.”
“Huh.”

Nadeshiko slide very fast to home.
“Welcome home, Nadeshiko!” said Sumire.
“Sumire-san, where is father and Akira-san?”
“Father has a task in Yokohama. Akira still doing his part-time job.”
“So… Why I smell foods?” said Nadeshiko smelling.
“Well, I cooked a layer cake and carbonara.”
“Whoa… That’s heavy dinner. Is a person came?”
“Yeah. He said…”
“He? So a boy came? He said what?”
“He said his name is Syaoron Li.”
“Syaoron-kun?”
Nadeshiko ran off to her room and change her clothes. “Oh my gosh! Syaoron-kun is came!”
Nadeshiko tying her hair with blue ribbon and then came down to dine room. She saw a brown haired boy, wearing a Chinese olive green shirt and beige trousers. “Syaoron!”
“Oh. Nadeshiko.”
“What are you doing here?”
“Your sister met me in market. She said, ‘You are Syaoron Li, right?’”
“Sumire-san!”
“Well, you said you met a brown haired boy and looks like a Chinese. And I met him. I invited him to dinner with us. Akira-san maybe will angry… But, Akira-san will came in eleven.”
“Oh. I got it.” Said Nadeshiko with face turning red.
A black figure standing in a roof. “Well, it’s the time…” The figure spelled something, and fire has crashing a house! Syaoron saw a black figure. “Who is that? Perhaps…!”
Syaoron running out and saw fire want to burn Miyazaki’s residence!
“Hi’en!” Syaoron hands out his sword, Hi’en. “Not good! I only can spelled thunder, fire and wind spell!” Nadeshiko who just saw the fire, went out. Sumire suddenly fall asleep. Maybe that’s the effect of the power. “Syaoron-kun!”
“Nadeshiko, spell the God of Water!”
“Okay! The lockette who holds the Chosen One power – World’s Five Elements, release your power!” The lockette transformed into a wand.
“God of Water, answer my call!” shouted Nadeshiko unsheathe her wand. The fire disappeared, but appeared again, in dine room! “Sumire-san!” Nadeshiko enter her house, no matter what the obstacles. “Nadeshiko!” said Syaoron. Syaoron chased Nadeshiko.
“Sumire-san!” Nadeshiko shouted Sumire’s name. Suddenly, a wood falling down, and Nadeshiko will strucked down! “Nadeshiko!” Syaoron pushed Nadeshiko and protect Nadeshiko from the wood. “Syaoron-kun! The wood… burned?!” cried out Nadeshiko. Her tears run down. “Syaoron-kun! Don’t leave me alone!”
At the right time, Kamui has came. “Kamui-san! Help me! Syaoron-kun! Syaoron-kun! Syaoron…” Kamui tapped her shoulder. “Calm down. Li will be okay.” Nadeshiko calmed down. “You always called Syaoron-kun brat…” “Yeah, but I know that will hurt you.”
“Yeah. I don’t like someone called him brat. He very useful. I want to thank him. Without him, I can’t do anything.”
“It’ okay, pretty. Now, crash the fire.”
“But how?” said Nadeshiko with red face.
“Just do it.”
“But…”
“This is your fate. An unexpected fate…”

Nadeshiko successfully protect her home. But, after that, the home builded again! The black figure said that only a ‘kekkai’. The fire spell and crashed house is only kekkai. He said that was a test for the Chosen One. Although the crashed house is fake, but the injured suffered, is real! So… The damage in Syaoron is real! What Nadeshiko should do?
